So it has been an age since I last wrote - to the extent people are telling me to get my arse in gear and write a new blog! In a positive way I'm glad people enjoy them, now stop hassling me already!! (jokes!)
Again it has been a pretty uninteresting month. In fact I am a little overwhelmed with how boring my life is at the moment!! I am used to being fun, drinking silly amounts, making inappropriate comments, waking up in random places - occasionally outside a dance studio or with a text from the police saying I have been reported missing! (This genuinely happened!) But as it currently stands, I am sleeping in my own bed, waking fully sober. Watching This Morning with a brew and maybe a couple of biscuits if I feel particularly dare devilish!! And for that mid afternoon treat I usually make some lunch and wash up!! Urgh - I make myself feel sick!
Two of my bestest friends - Clare and Giselle ran the marathon last weekend and raised ridiculous amounts of money for Help the Hospices! They dedicated so much time and effort to it and it was amazingly inspirational! Now - I have been saying for yrs that I would like to run the Marathon or Maldon Mud Race (only some of you will know this) or do the 3 peak challenge or swim the channel! Something challenging that I can be proud of accomplishing! However, to date - I have done none of this!! So now, feeling very motivated by Clare and Giselle I am determined to do something!! I have looked into Swimming the channel but it is tres expensive!! But I am welcoming any suggestions!! I literally need to do something with my life and soon before I start finding excitement in completing a suduko puzzle or entering take a break competitions. I genuinely walked past an allotment the other day and considered for a few minutes the prospect of growing my own vegetables and herbs!! I am 24yrs old, this is not right!
Also, I am barely dancing at the moment and this makes me really sad!! I have spent 4yrs of my life training in something that is seeming vaguely pointless at present! I've got my exams for my fitness instructing course in a couple of weeks so at least I'll be able to get a job doing that but it not the same, so if anyone needs a dancer or choreographer......!
On a lighter note - we have a housemate!! yey! And she's a friend of a friend who comes with an amazing coffee machine!! Perfect!! And I now have company in the evenings which prevents me talking to myself or singing power ballads at the top of my voice and breaking the neighbours windows!!
More good news - Marrakesh is less than a month away and this is keeping me positive despite the horrendous weather at the moment! Hose pipe ban my f*****g arse!! Looking forward to heat, sleeping in the Sahara, riding camels and sand boarding with two of my favourites!! And I'm sure Martin will enjoy a week of peace and quiet in the flat without me nagging for him to get off the bloody playstation!! I thought football was bad enough but fake football really takes the piss!
Looking forward to my 1st rehearsal for the Olympics next fortnight! Kinda hoping we just copy Beijing and they let me loose with a drum to make a lot of noise with! YEY! Or maybe i can just run around with a massive flag! I might also try and steal a medal! or the olympic torch!! either sound quite tempting! :)
So thanks for listening to my thoughts that turned into rambling verbal diarrhoea, even tho it started a tad depressing!! I will keep trying to get a life so I can blog more often with exciting stuff!! If you don't hear from me for a while it's probably because I have taken up knitting and crosswords, with maybe a touch of gardening for some light relief!!! Dear God I hope I blog soon!!
Much love, Laura xxx
